First Church held a Multi-generational Family Worship Service This Week

FAMILY WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY, 5/6

(see below for Upcoming Events, Teen Happenings, and Kids’ Choirs)

@10AM

This Sunday was our 3rd Multi-generational Family Worship Service of the school year where our children lead us in different aspects of worship. This week, our 2nd/3rd/4th graders, along with our children’s choirs, joined in that leadership.

As we’ve been studying the theme of COMMUNITY all year, you may notice words and themes in our prayers and songs this Sunday that helped to reinforce how we can be a part of God’s family.

Because this is a Family Worship Sunday, there was no Sunday School, and all children took communion together with the entire faith community.

@11:15AM

After service, there was a New Member Inquiry Class in Griswold Hall for those who would like to explore membership at First Church, or ask questions about our faith community.  Light refreshments were provided and childcare was available.

**As we all try to navigate the reality of technology and electronics in our world, it’s often difficult to get ourselves and our children to unplug.  Monthly, we will be offering spiritual practice activities (creative ways to connect to God) to help with this balance.  Click here for the MAY SPIRITUAL PRACTICE that can be done at home to cultivate a new way to engage with God and each other.
