Interim Sabbatical Time Update

And, after June 20, you will no longer have to RSVP! Then on July 4 we will begin the summer schedule which moves the service to 9:00 am. So there is a lot to look forward to and I hope that you will find God’s grace in each day that we are given and that you will find rest and peace this coming June and beyond.

by The Rev. Suzanne Wagner on June 02, 2021

Dear Friends,

It is a beautiful morning here where I live, close to the beach, in Milford. The air is still yet cool, the sun is shining brightly with a promise of 81 degrees today. The birds are singing their avian hearts out; soon their voices will fade as the bustle of the day gets on.  Each day seems to pass by so quickly particularly this time of year when we wish and pray that it could stay just like this forever. Late spring births such hope when the plants bud and the fresh baby greens of the trees are resplendent. My heart sings too.

I am full aware that time however does slip by, and that my time with you here in Guilford is nearly two-thirds of the way finished as June rapidly approaches. The Rogers and Hammerstein song from the musical ‘Carousel’ comes to mind, “June is bustin’ out all over”! That’s because June will burst out with wonderful worship Sundays planned. Celebration Sunday, also known as Children’s Sunday, is June 6 followed by Confirmation on June 13, and then on June 20, Father’s Day, there will be a Father’s remembrance time in the Memorial Garden, and we will honor graduates as they mark the end of their high school days.

I hope that you will plan on joining us for these very special Sundays and beyond. And, after June 20, you will no longer have to RSVP! Then on July 4 we will begin the summer schedule which moves the service to 9:00 am. So there is a lot to look forward to and I hope that you will find God’s grace in each day that we are given and that you will find rest and peace this coming June and beyond.

Peace and joy for a restful summer.
