One of the central calls of First Church is to help mark ritual moments in life such as milestones, transitions, and big events. Our 1830 landmark church building is the perfect historic, sacred space to help mark important events. Our building can be made available based on the availability and through consultation with of our clergy for weddings, memorial services, funerals, and Baptisms.
We are currently adhering to local and state Social Distancing restrictions for the use of our campus on the north side of the Guilford Town Green. We are willing to schedule events for the autumn, but they may need to be rescheduled as the situation evolves.
Weddings, Memorial Services, and Funerals: Please be in touch with our office to schedule a consultation with one of our members of the clergy. We would be honored to walk with you and your family through this part of your journey.
Baptisms: Baptism is an ancient practice of the church which is a visible and outward expression of God’s love. The person, whether an infant, child, youth or adult, is welcomed into the Body of Christ, and a covenantal bond is created between First Church and this person and family. Promises are made to nurture the person in faith and love of Jesus Christ. Baptisms are typically part of the worship service. If you have a special scheduling request, please call the Church Office or speak with a minister.
